Town of Torrey Memorial Day Service

The Town of Torrey will hold its annual Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 25th at 10:30 am at the Gazebo at the corner of Main Street and Cornelia Street in Dresden. Yates County Officer Tim Benson will be the guest speaker. Music will be provided by the Penn Yan Middle School Band. Don Chambers will read the Roll of Honor. Following the program there will be a parade to the cemetery, where another short service will be presented by American Legion Post 1571. J. Jeffrey Stempien and Philip Bracht will play taps at the cemetery. After the cemetery service there will be a take-out or eat-in chicken barbecue at the Dresden United Methodist Church on Cornelia Street. All are invited. Bring your lawn chairs
