Join Historic Geneva for a special behind-the-scenes tour of Rose Hill Mansion. These tours are not the same as our regular tour. They are an opportunity for visitors to see and learn about areas of the house not usually accessible to visitors, including the basement and belvedere (the square tower on the roof). Residents of Ontario and Seneca Counties can enjoy free admission to Rose Hill Mansion. Tours of the Mansion will run every hour beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the last tour at 3:30 p.m. Once a working farm, the house and surrounding grounds are now open seasonally for guided tours. Built in 1839, the elegant Greek Revival house was the center of a busy and productive farm at mid-century. Much of the guided tour focuses on the Swan family who lived there from 1850 to 1890. Home to the Johnston family from 1822-1877, the Johnston House features exhibits, interactive spaces, and a research room.
