DESCRIPTION:Kick Off Summer Vacation at the Victor Farmington Library’s Readathon on June 26th!   \nFriday\, June 26th\, is the Victor Farmington Library’s 3rd Annual Readathon.  This daylong celebration of reading is a great way to kick off summer vacation.  Special readers will take turns reading their favorite children’s books out loud\, creating an entertaining read-aloud marathon at the Victor Farmington Library (VFL).  The fun begins at 9:00 am and runs through 6:20 pm. Some will wear costumes to engage the audience\, while others will share activities.  Caregivers of elementary-aged and younger children will especially enjoy this free community event\, which doubles as the perfect opportunity to pick up your Summer Reading challenge! \nFeatured readers include local author Kathy Blasi at 9:20 am\, Karalyn Istavan of Victor Robotics at 1:20 pm\, local author Sarah Mead at 4:20 pm\, and much-loved teacher Mrs. Bock at 5:00 pm. \nEntertainment highlights include a visit from therapy dogs at 9:30 am\, STEM activities and demonstrations by Victor Robotics\, and a visit from two K-9 Officers from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Department’s K-9 Unit at 6 pm.    \nWhile you’re here\, enjoy complimentary refreshments from Finger Lakes Coffee Roasters\, the Friends of the Victor Farmington Library\, Fire on Main\, and Molly V’s Ice Cream.  The Victor Farmington Library thanks these partners and the incredible local businesses and organizations who have teamed up with the library to create this one-of-a-kind celebration just as summer vacation begins.  Their help\, coupled with the funds raised by participating reader-fundraisers\, provides much-needed support for the Victor Farmington Library\, enabling us to continue adding offerings for Victor and Farmington residents.  \nSave the date\, spread the word\, and join us to see book lovers bring amazing stories to life on June 26th.

DESCRIPTION:Centre Stage Community Theatre is proud to present Perfect Arrangement by\nacclaimed playwright Topher Payne\, June 26–28\, 2026\, in Mandeville Hall at the Clemens Center.\nSet in 1950 at the height of the Red Scare\, Perfect Arrangement follows two U.S. State Department\nemployees\, Bob and Norma\, who have been tasked with identifying so-called “sexual deviants”\nwithin their ranks. There is just one problem: both Bob and Norma are gay and have married each\nother’s partners as part of a carefully constructed cover. As government scrutiny intensifies\, their\ncarefully curated lives begin to unravel.\nInspired by the true story of the earliest stirrings of the American gay rights movement\, Perfect\nArrangement blends classic sitcom-style comedy with powerful drama. What begins as a fast-paced\ncomedy gradually reveals the human cost of living in secrecy during the Lavender Scare\, a period\nwhen thousands of LGBTQ+ federal employees lost their jobs because of their sexual orientation. \nPresented in celebration of Pride Month\, the production reflects Centre Stage Community Theatre’s\ncommitment to creating inclusive theatrical experiences and fostering a sense of belonging for all\nmembers of the community.\nPerformances will take place Friday\, June 26\, Saturday\, June 27\, and Sunday\, June 28 in Mandeville\nHall at the Clemens Center.
