Community Thriller Dance
Calling All Ghouls and Ghosts, Join Us for a FUN Community Dance Event — THE THRILLER!
Get ready to dance, have fun, and celebrate Halloween with our community! St. Peter’s Community Arts Academy, The Ballet School, and the City of Geneva Recreation Department are teaming up to bring you a spooktacular Community Thriller Dance!
Inspired by Michael Jackson’s iconic Thriller dance from the 1983 short film, we’ll be learning and performing our own version of this classic routine. Our dance will be inspired by the annual Thriller performance in Greenwich Village, New York City.
The Geneva Community Thriller Dance will take place on October 25, at the end of the Geneva Halloween Parade!
We’ll begin at the Knights of Columbus and dance up Milton Street toward Pulteney Street (or until the song is over).
Come dressed in your Halloween spirit and bring your best zombie moves!
We will rehearse on the following Saturdays:
– October 3
– October 10
– October 17
– October 24
Time: 2:15-3:00 PM
Location: The dance studio at St. Peter’s Community Arts Academy @ 149 Genesee Street, Geneva, NY
We’ll send email reminders with rehearsal details, along with video links to help you practice and get familiar with the music before the big day!
This is a fun, community-oriented event for dancers of all experience levels!
Due to the nature of the choreography, this dance is for ages 8 and up.
Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just want to join in the Halloween fun, we’d love to have you!
Let’s make Geneva’s Halloween Parade unforgettable!
