Border City Quarter Auction

April 5 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every month that begins at 6:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating indefinitely

$5

The first Tuesday of each month (except July & August) local vendors gather at the Border City Fire Hall to help the fire department raise much needed funds. What is a Quarter auction? A quarter auction is part raffle, part auction and also a direct sales party. It works a bit like Bingo. When you arrive, you will be given 4 numbered paddles for a donation of $5. You will be able to buy more paddles for a donation of $1 per paddle. The paddles will have a corresponding number chip attached to the back which you will remove and place in our master bucket. The direct sales vendors and crafters will have items they will put “up” for auction. These items will be on display so you can see what will be up for auction each night and you can decide which ones are of interest to you to bid on. If you wish to bid it will cost you a quarter, maybe two and no more than 4 quarters PER paddle to try to win that item. It may sound complicated but it is a blast and an inexpensive night out while supporting a local sales person and also the fire department. Everything will be explained before the start of each auction. You will catch on quickly and fall in love with the event! So save your quarters!! Doors open to the public at 6PM we are generally done between 8:30-8:45PM and are located at 3000 Fallbrook Ave, Geneva
